Iuvo

Iuvo is a marketplace where investors buy claims on loans that non-bank lenders have already issued. It started in 2016 and is operated by IUVO GROUP OÜ in Tallinn, Estonia. The Estonian business register shows Bulgaria's Management Financial Group AD holding 96.59 percent of the company since 11 October 2023, and several of the lending partners belong to that same group, so the platform and much of its loan supply share one owner. The partners lend in Bulgaria, Romania, Spain, Latvia, North Macedonia, Croatia and the Czech Republic, mostly consumer loans, with business loans at some of them. Every claim on the market carries a buyback guarantee, but the assignment agreement sets the obligated party, the arrears trigger and the scope for each claim separately, and with some lenders it covers the principal only. Investors can resell claims to each other on a secondary market for a fee, and the Auto Assign tool buys on the primary market automatically. One former lending partner, CBC in Poland, has been in court restructuring since 2022, with Iuvo pursuing the outstanding claims there on the investors' behalf; the proceedings are still running.
