Crowdestor
Crowdestor is a business lending platform run by Crowdestor OÜ, an Estonian company registered in Tallinn on 12 December 2017. Its team works from Riga, its terms of use are governed by Latvian law, and its borrowers are Latvian and Lithuanian companies. Investors lend from 50 euros directly to the borrower. There is no buyback obligation. A provision fund exists, but it covers only projects funded before 31 December 2021 and is distributed pro rata across the entire outstanding book rather than making any one investor whole. The platform now lists its business projects under the heading "Historical business projects", the newest of them from December 2023; what is still on offer are three FLEX products, open-ended working capital loans with interest credited daily. Crowdestor OÜ has not filed its annual reports for 2024 and 2025 with the Estonian register, both of which were due. Its sole owner and board member, Jānis Timma, is also a board member and, since March 2025, the 65 percent shareholder of Ventus Energy Group OÜ, the company behind the Ventus Energy platform, which BaFin ordered on 5 May 2026 to cease and wind up its unauthorised deposit business in Germany.
