Capitalia
Capitalia is a Latvian business lending platform founded in 2007 and based in Riga. Investors lend directly to small and medium-sized companies in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Finland, through business loans, real estate development loans and loans to farmers and forestry companies. The operator, Capitalia SE, registration number 40003933213, was authorised as a European crowdfunding service provider by Latvijas Banka on 1 November 2023, and the authorisation covers individual portfolio management, the service behind the automatic investing option. The minimum investment is 200 euros, investors pay no commission, and Capitalia puts at least 1 percent of its own money into every loan. A buyback applies only where the offer form says so: Capitalia then buys the loan back within 30 days of default, paying the unpaid principal plus up to 90 days of interest, with default set at more than 90 days past due. Capitalia has been authorised to operate a bulletin board since 18 September 2024, but no secondary market is live on the platform.
