Investly is an invoice financing marketplace run from Tallinn by Investly Technologies OU, registered in Estonia in August 2014 and wholly owned since September 2023 by the British company Investly Ltd. Estonian businesses sell invoices they have issued to larger customers, and investors bid for them in a reverse auction: bids are ranked from the lowest interest rate up, and the bid that fills the funding target sets the rate everyone receives. The minimum bid is 10 EUR, investors pay no fees because the invoice seller does, and an autobidder can place bids automatically. There is no secondary market, which the platform explains by the short terms involved. The credit risk sits with the company that owes the invoice; if it has not paid 30 days after the due date, the general terms oblige the seller of the invoice to buy the claim back, which is the buyback guarantee here.
